Illuminate Conservation

Save Santa Ynez River Steelhead!

Creating art to highlight endangered species, bringing them a larger voice and benefiting the non profits that are fighting to protect them.

Art allows for people to interpret what they see in a non confrontational way. It connects with people from all political backgrounds and socioeconomic levels.
It sparks curiosity and creates questions for the viewer.

Environmental Art allows for species without a voice to be heard and for issues that are out of plain sight to become illuminated and addressed. We believe that using the tool of art as a magnifier, facilitator and ally of the movement to restore our ecosystems is a powerful device to create change.

Our goal is to inform our audience about an environmental issue that we feel passionately about through background research, writing, photography and paint. We provide action steps that you can take to get involved in helping these species and ecosystems. Proceeds from each piece of art purchased will go directly to organizations who are working at the forefront of these environmental issues.

Visit our gallery and learn more about the issues driving our work.

Our biggest inspiration is just outside the door. We feel the most alive when we are outside, immersed in the energy of our planet. We are constantly being distracted and insulated from this truth. The time is now to become an ally to the ecosystems that give us life and reconnect with the power that is the natural world.

Illuminate Conservation has raised over $10,000 through selling artwork. This money has gone towards California Trout, The Environmental Defense Center and Save the San Marcos Foothills. With your help we can continue to create art to raise awareness about endangered species and to raise funding for the organizations that are fighting to save them.
